WIP List With Photos

I started a list of Work In Progresses(WIPs) here and when taking the photo of these ones I found a few more. So my current list is:
WIP 1 – Lighthouse Quilt:
WIP Lighthouse QuiltWhen taking photos of this I remembered I have a matching table runner to finish so that is WIP Number 2.
WIP 3 – The Disappearing 9 Patch
WIP 4 – The Horse Quilt

WIP 5 – Partially Complete Christmas table Runner

WIP 6, 7 and probably 8 – Remaining Christmas Squares to be turned into table runners or something else. Here are just some of the left over squares, there is about 6 of each pattern:
WIP 9 – Left over rectangles, which were possibly going to be used as the border for this quilt, but I decided it was going to busy. I think they might be turned into a Stacked Coin Quilt.
WIP 10 – Left over Squares and Blocks also from this quilt, not sure what I am going to do with them yet

Now I have spent the evening playing with my blog theme, changing the header and writing this post. I should really go and do some sewing so I have some progress to blog.

2012 – I am back

One of my goals for the new year is to blog more. And given that the blog hasn’t been updated since August 2011, hopefully I can post a bit more this year.

One of the blogs that I subscribe to is hosting a challenge to finish 12 WIPs in 2012 and I am keen to join in, it will hopefully give me a good reason to blog a bit more and it will hopefully encourage me to finish a few things.
My Current WIPs are:
1) A Lighthouse quilt – which just needs to be finish quilting and binding put on;
2) A Disappearing 9 patch quilt – top is finished;
3) Horse Quilt – Blocks finished, currently pinned waiting to be joined up;
4) A random collection of 5″ Christmas Squares – was another WIP which I started quite a while ago that got up picked, some of the squares were then turned into table runners for Christmas presents. Not quite sure what I am going to do with the rest of them;

I probably have a couple of others but I will need to hunt in the cupboards to find them.
I also have stacks of fabric waiting to be turned into projects. In the pipe line at the moment I am planning:
1) A quilt for my sister’s baby which is due to arrive later this month ( I know this one will be late);
2) A stacked coin quilt using up a Moda Charm Square pack.
3) Using up a couple of panels I have to make some lap quilts for our house.

That is all that I can think of at the moment. I am sure I will add things to the list during the year.
Photos will have to come at a later date too.

Other finishes

In June, I has some time off work recovering from surgery so in addition to finally finishing DS’s quilt, I also spent some time sewing some other gifts. I made 2 table runners – one for my friend who got married and one for my sister and new BIL, unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the one for my sister and BIL, but here is the other one.

And the back:

Finished Quilt

Well the quilt that I started last year for DS is finally finished, in time for his 4th birthday.
Here is the quilt top finished:
The finished quilt top
It was the quilted by the lovely Raylee at Sunflower Quilting with an all over lizard design that looks fantastic, the quilting was done in blue so it stands out on the border but blends in with the patterns.

It is quite large, so there is lots of overhang on his bed, and it is keeping him warm at night.
